Charlotte’s “Catch and Release” is very expensive for the TAXPAYERS!! And costing more each and everyday.

With Law Enforcement already spread thin, this is the numbers that they have to play catch up on.

The Magistrates and Judges have already shown their views on “Catch and Release” on the Taxpayers dime.

MECKLENBURG COUNTY NUMBERS

Unserved Warrants: 13,291
Unserved Orders for Arrest: 19,448
Unserved Criminal Summons: 3,779

This is a total of 36,518 for those 3 categories.

This is an increase of 693 since September 2019.

Crime rates are up, Murders at a 25 year high and the Mecklenburg County “Catch and Release” system is not getting people to court to face their accusers.

WILL THE VICTIMS EVER GET JUSTICE???

There are also 23,795 active restraining orders in Mecklenburg County.

The Mecklenburg County Jail is only 52% full……
